Title says it all. I have a old laptop that has no external disk drive, and I don't have any of the external peripherals. It is an HP Omnibook 800CT. I have a 44 pin IDE to CF card adapter for the laptop, and a 4GB CF card. I was thinking of plugging the CF card into my computer and copying over the operating system install files onto the CF card and installing the operating system onto the CF card...from the CF card, in the laptop. Would this be possible? I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Re: Installing operating system from hard drive
What OS were you going to use? Back in the day, I used to copy the entirety of OSR2 onto c: and boot off a floppy then run setup. So fast compared to floppies or even the 6X cd-rom I had at the time.Presonus Audiobox USB, Schiit Magni 3, Sony MDR-V700
