Creative VGA pinout

I find a 12x dvd drive at value village and it came with a bonus DXR3 pci decoder card. So I get this thing home and load he drivers (Creative is really good at archiving it's files) and discover that I need to pass one of my VGA monitors through the card. So the vga out is no problem but compared to the DXR2 the DXR3 uses a different connector than the usual VGA for the input. I can probably make a custom cable but I need the pinouts for the socket.
Anyone got one of these cables for pin reference?

my dxr2 board had a 'jumper' that went from the output of my video card to the input of the dxr2 and if i remember correctly, the input on the dxr2 was the regular 15pin VGA connector. i took a look at a pic of the dxr3 board and it looks like they are using an s-video type connector for the dxr3's input. its just a guess though. find a VGAtoS-VIDEO adapter and you might be in business.

did you check creative's site for info on that??

The dxr3 was different from the dxr2 (as the model implies)
This unit has both a 7-pin "tv out" (looks like mac serial with an extra pin on the bottom left row) and a 9-pin (circular plug) VGA in connector.
A visual look also shows the vga socket is larger than the tv out socket.

Nope.
I tried this before with other companies and they either never respond or say that they can't give the pinout for some reason.

you may have to order a replacement "adapter" cable from Creative. From what I saw, though, the board is quite old (as far as computer hardware is concerned) so you may have to see if someone who has one can give you the pin-outs. With the large number of dxr3 boards sold, i'm sure someone out there can get you the pin-outs.

It's the same thing as the hollywood+ but with improved audio and video.

You got the pass-through cable?
If I can get the pinouts for both sides of the cable I can build my own.

1:Blue IN
2:GND
3:Green IN
4:GND
5:Vsync IN
6:Hsync IN
7:Red IN
8:SDA (from pin12 of DB15)
9:SCL (from pin15 of DB15)

Um, that's only two grounds. That means that either all three color grounds are tied together or the pinout is wrong.

Get an ohm meter and see if pins 6,7 and 8 on the vga connector all connect to either pin 2 or 4 on the mini-DIN connector.
