Well my 3 year Pioneer DVR 106D might be dying the screenshots attached may be of help. I would like to how it is failing or if it is just a bad disc.

It emailed me the errors, you were trying to attach .BMP files that were way too large. Convert them to .JPG.<--- Badcaps.net Founder

My Samsund dvd player is VERY sensitive to dirt and/or scratches on certain dvds when the player gets dirty. They will play fine in my comp, but won't play on the Samsung.Comment

i got a bunch of elderly pioneer DVD-117 readers doing similar stuff. had a slot load one also, i think that loading mechanism lasted 6 monthsComment

OK that seems nothing short of a fluke. it happened twice. on the 2-12 and when i reported back. it seems that i am probably screwed. on the upper news i am getting a new machine! and this one is going to an old friend who's whole one got burned up during a lightning storm. a bit more powerful than this one.Comment

I'm in need of assistance with a Dell Precision 5820 Tower. The BIOS is locked with "Dell Security Manager," preventing access to the HDD-1 hard drive.

I recently purchased this Dell Precision 5820 Tower from a recycler who salvages equipment from abandoned office spaces. The computer was left behind by its previous owner and was password locked. Given that it can run Windows 11, I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade my setup.

So I've worked on dozens of HP and Dell laptops and have never encountered this before.
Steps taken in my usual process.
Reset security settings in the BIOS
Ensure existing HD comes up into the OS
Shut down the laptop and disconnected the main battery
Removed old M2 drive and replaced with a new 1tb Mushkin Temptest NVME drive. (I'm aware the bus is Sata III but the drive should still work at a slower speed right? Been my experience in other laptops)
Replace battery connector and close up the laptop
Insert my USB drive with my Windows 10 image I've... -
