    HP PSC 1315 not scanning

I got this multifunction device Hp PSC 1315 from friend, because he says that it suddently stop printing, yet it scan well - for this only thing. Scanning. It is a compact thing: http://content.hwigroup.net/images/p...p_psc_1315.jpg
...with the lift off top for the scanning:
    http://www.superwarehouse.com/images...p_psc_1315.jpg

    This is the interface:

    HP PSC 1315 interface

...yet on mine is in the number of Copies (as shown "1") are shown "E" and the red LED diode on the "Check printer cartridge" is flicking. No real reactions on the buttons anyway. Except more flicking LEDs, lol.

Using the latest v4.2.1 drivers from there:
    Software & Driver Downloads HP PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer | HP® Support
In Photoshopu with the "Import / hp psc 1310 series TWAIN..." it shown this window:

    HP PSC 1315 scan

...it witch nothing works. That is on Windows 2000 SP4 with the HP "Win2k " drivers v4.2.1 witch obviously did not work on W2k.

Windowns of course claim that all is OKAY:

    HP PSC 1315 test passed

...and there was not a problem with the install. Using the WIA interface it tell me, that the scanner is busy, probably by "other application":

On Windows XP SP 1.0a it looks much better:

...yet still refusing to scan anythng. But once I did managed to make it scan. (IIRC I opened the door for the cartridges, close it and use the WIA preview for scan...?) But on reboot/shotdown it stoped scanning again and never do it. Yet I have few scans I did with it as a proof: Galerie

So I'm getting pretty angry with this thing and I tried Win XP SP3 - yet no change. Then I managed to find a czech version of the install CD drivers v4.2.0 - yet this is very slightly older, I tried it on clean Win XP SP1.0a again. And again nothing All is OK, yet the printer still complaining about rhe cartridges and refuse to scan, when I already scanned so well!!!

    This is crazy.

Obviously HP PSC 1315 not working with a Active Jet AH-657N and AH-656N cartridges, however it did scan for my friend and it even show that me - but just a show. What can I do to make it scan? I absultely did not want to print with such problematic thing, the whole section can be ripped off. But what to do to make it scan?
Or is there a firmware downgrade possible to even make it back working with the cartridges?!

Anyone have, preferably the smaller web drivers, any older version of the drivers that the v4.2.0 ...? ( Hp PSC 1315 driver v4.2.0 cz.rar | Ulo?.to )

Re: HP PSC 1315 not scanning

I managed to get drivers for HP PSC 1315 v3.0.0.0.76:
    http://ulozto.cz/xJkdZJqP/hp-psc-131...3-0-0-0-76-zip
...but once again, absolutely no change in behaviour. Not working at all.

The idea to get the original HP cartridges is probably the best one. Looking there:
    http://www.tisknulevne.cz/naplne-do-...13xx/psc-1315/
...I come to conclusion that I need (at best firmware downgrade to make the old cartridges work, but that is probably not getting to happen... dunno why) cartridges C8727AE (10ml black) and C8728AE (8ml color), or C6658AE (17ml photo) - C6656AE (19ml black) and C6657AE (17ml color) or C6656GE (4,5ml black) and C6657GE (4,5ml color)...

Maybe in Windows they do. I use two HP printers in Linux, and they are rock solid! An older HP Laserjet 1012, that I got for free, doesn't have Win 7 drivers. But is works great in Linux. My HP PSC 1210 works great too!

I would not recommend a Lexmark/Dell printer. They are truely garbage.

I had (till it was stolen from me) HP 1012 too and it is great printer, with 80kBy drivers and worked perfectly for me. I cannot complain about it.

However HP PSC 1315 is different story. I just want it to *SCAN* and the damn thing show me once that it can, and since then it never ever worked and scanned anything ever again. And all I did was just a reboot, so... TOTALLY LOST FAITH IN HP.

If to make sucesfull scanning one *NEED* original cartridges AND HP is changing the firmware by these overbloated drivers as it want to prevent 3rd cartridges to work, then HP lost in my eyes. Absolutely. If they can do that - I never spend a penny that can go to them back again. Ever.

And I make sure everyone knows that HP suxx with their multifunction devices badly, when it did not allow scanning, when there is nonoriginal cartridges.

Yeah I didn't explain why I dislike hp but that is sort of why.
We have a fool around/take apart pile here, almost all the printers are various hp made units ... that should tell you something LOL. I am not dissing all over hp though, our hp laser printer is awesome. I have it set up as a network printer, and ubuntu/Linux, Mac, and Windows machines all print with it very easily

DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error re. old drivers in Windows 11 install image
              by japlytic
In a Beelink GTR mini PC, mine has an Intel AX200NGW WLAN module.

              Tried (only with keyboard/mouse connected):
              • BIOS + database update
              • Using latest Windows 11 image built with official image creation tool
              • Previous setup version for Windows 11 installer
              • Replacing SSD without a slow block (the previous SSD had a slow block with access time > 500 mS)
              • TPM reset (worked to the point where DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error message is displayed briefly after the point of stalling)
              • Disabling power to WLAN and LAN modules in BIOS (Advanced > AMD PBS > PCI Express Configuration)
              ...

              LC6685 based LED drivers
              by pavithra
I have 50 Chinese constant current isolated LED drivers based on LC6685 IC. 35 drivers are working fine, but there is a slight flickering in the rest of the drivers.
I have checked the output with oscilloscope and found that there is a slight random voltage fluctuation.
Is it possible to get the datasheet of LC6685 IC?
Also highly appreciate if you could let me know what could go wrong....

Alienware m15 R4 CPU or CPU drivers issue
              by kuba2102
Hi. I had a problem with this laptop that under a load it would crash the system, meaning the screen would go black and unresponsive. I have noticed that CPU drivers surrounding area of PCB has changed colour due to high temperature. I have tried to reball the Drivers, but after it laptop wouldn't turn on at all and it would trigger over current protection in the PSU. I ordered and replaced 3 of of 5 Drivers (3 CPU, 2 IGPU?), and it started producing 1.2V again but just for a second. I get led flashing out the CPU failure code. Now I'm not sure whether there is still a problem with the drivers...

Intel D865PERL - no Vcore after replacing MOSFETs and MOSFET drivers
              by kotel studios
              Hi,

Finally got time to fix this board up.
At first it didn't give any POST codes. Turns out it was an unsupported Celeron D cpu. After dropping in an Celery 2.6gHz the CPU came out of reset with clock signal, but still no post codes. For a while it did work when I applied pressure to the ADP3168 chip, but on next reboot the MOSFETs started to burn. Then I left it as is for months.

Now I came back prepared. Replaced the bad MOSFETs and the ADPxx18k drivers. Now I don't get any MOSFETs blowing up issues anymore. But sadly, the Vcore is missing. The whole VRM isn't...

I am writing to seek assistance regarding a problem I encountered while attempting to install the AMD Radeon 520 graphics drivers on my Dell Inspiron 15 3576 laptop running Windows 10.

Upon installing the graphics drivers, my system freezes, and I am left with a black screen. Unfortunately, this issue has prevented me from utilizing the full capabilities of my AMD Radeon 520 graphics card.
