new foxconn mobo no video signal

My son bought a "kit" with Foxconn A75A motherboard (N15235) with an AMD quad core porcessor, ddr3 ram, and onboard graphics card. Everything is new. So, when we hook it up....fans turn...no video signal. We use my monitor which is working, and still get no video signal. so we don't know if anyting is workig or not. No os is loaded (of course since we can't see anything anyway). Any ideas how to get the video working or what may be wrong? also no beep because no speaker is there. so we don't know if it passes boot or not.
any help is appreciated, today if possible, he goes back home tomorrow. thanks

Since that board has no buzzer on it, the beep code trick is of no use.

Fans turning mean nothing, as that just means the PSU was given a power on signal.

Are any of your fans PWM? If so, do they spin up and then slow down? If so, that's a huge hint.

Are all your PSU cables hooked up? What brand/model PSU are you using?

Last, are you sure the CPU/ram is properly mounted? No bent CPU pins?

PS- Where in Indiana do you live?

don't know what type of fans
He said he checked the pins and all seemed ok.

I see 1 issue already. Logisys PSU. Not good.

Possibility that the PSU went south.

I haven't lived in Ft. Wayne since I was 6 years old... If I lived closer, I'd let you borrow one of my spare PSUs to test.

Could also be a DOA motherboard/CPU/RAM.

well, The cpu gets warm, hdd initiates, and fans run. I can check power at certain points if that wouild isolate issues, I do have digitial multimeter and no how to use it. one note, I used to be a HP tech for call in repair work...many years ago (XP release date). but not sure where to start with a brand new system that has yet to be operated.

Check to see if the reset button is correctly plugged in on the mother board. Better yet unplug all front panel buttons and led's and buttons and jump the start pins on the motherboard directly. Also check to see if the 4pin psu connector is plugged in the motherboard correctly, it's easy to overlook. Also you can try reseating the ram memory and check the jumper settings (if any) according to the manual of the mobo. As a last resort try a different PSU and reseat the cpu (check for bent and broaken pins also)
            Guns don't solve problems. I'll take 12

It's been a long time since last on. Stepson took his mobo home with him, so I've not had it to look at. Now, he has bought new setup and given me the foxconn one to have. So as I have taken time to look closely at it, done some research, I am still at same place. No post. No pins are bent (it came as a set with mobo) from Newegg. Moved the ram to restart and no change. Used my psu from other puter and no change. Don't have another cpu,on limited income now retired, so hoping to get this set going. grrrrr. looking for any new advice/help. thanks all.

oh, fans just turn on, one speed, no speed up then slow down. havent tried the jump start yet. we are moving to indy now, so in a couple days will have mobo in hand and hope to get working on it or replace instead.

                    what ram was included?
and is the cpu on the supported list?at what bios rev?
wont be the first time the egg has bundled parts that are not compatible without a bios update!
yes something in that package could be doa but check compatibility.

ok, here are some of the specs. It has an amd apu quadcore cpu ( a8-3870k), 4G DDR3 1333 ram. don't know what bios...no comments on mobo or spec sheet. I have limited material and resources to check it out., no spare cpus or ram or psu. we did just hook it up to his other puter using his video card and psu...still nothing...? we removed the cpu and powered it up and the fans turn just as they did with the cpu in place???

It's actually good that you went with AMD this time, because this reminds me of the Intel side, with LGA 775, which can be a major pain.
I had the same kind of symptoms then I noticed out-of-place socket pins and RMA'ed the board.

Must take extra caution on LGA sockets.

RMA means you called the place you bought it from and they give you a return authorization code. Without the code, they won't accept it back.

ah, well since he didn't do any of that, and it is 10 months old now, and of that is probably a forgone thing. It has only been hooked up like 6 times to try to find the problem. Wonder what a local shop will charge just to check the cpu or mobo to see if they either is bad. my only recourse now. thanks for the help all.
