I have 2 BFG FX graphix cards-1 FX5200 AGP and 1 FX5500 OC PCI. The 5500 is the better card, but pci. How much slower is a pci card than an agp card?

It's a tricky question - since both cards are, 3D-wise, really rather weak by today's standards.Originally posted by Spacedye69
There is one major advantage to the FX5500 PCI card - and that is compatibility. Currently designed motherboards tend to no longer bear an AGP8X slot, and have PCIe in its place. They do still have at least a few 32-bit PCI slots though... -

That's very true. In the end, as I said, it may also depend partly in Spacedye's upgrade plans. As in, is it a card destined to sit in an AGP motherboard until the end of its days, or is it going to be "passed around" as a testing/emergency card, etc.Originally posted by arnesonComment

I have this LG 50" plasma tv that is in perfect working condition except for the fact that it has one (and only one), singular torn ribbon strip on one (and only one) of the 8 orange ribbon connectors that feed from the Y-Sustain to the screen itself.
So, as a result, there is one, singular thin black horizontal line that goes across the entire screen. Distracting enough to render the picture unwatchable for all intents and purposes.
What I am wondering is if anyone out there has ever had any success in fixing one of these ribbon cables... -

I got a 2013 27'' iMac that was dead. Upon testing, I discovered that one had torn off the small 7-pin connector.

Replacing a badly damaged DC jack on an Asus Q552U motherboard and when the old jack came out the pad tore off the board with it on one side. I was hopeful that with the new jack installed there might be enough left over to work but no dice, it won't charge.

I have an HP EliteBook 840 G1 non touchscreen. The symptoms are that: Repairing or reinstalling windows freezes no matter how i try it. Live Ubuntu that works on any other computer also freezes while trying to load it. The RAM sticks and the harddrive work fine in other computers. I broke off the connector by accident, CN4750 and was using the laptop for a while with no coin battery. According to this schematic I found on here, which I THINK is the correct schematic, pins 2, 3, and 4 should short to ground, and they do....
