Torn between two lovers- BFG FX

I have 2 BFG FX graphix cards-1 FX5200 AGP and 1 FX5500 OC PCI. The 5500 is the better card, but pci. How much slower is a pci card than an agp card?

It's a tricky question - since both cards are, 3D-wise, really rather weak by today's standards.

There is one major advantage to the FX5500 PCI card - and that is compatibility. Currently designed motherboards tend to no longer bear an AGP8X slot, and have PCIe in its place. They do still have at least a few 32-bit PCI slots though...

True, but will it make a practical difference in the case of such cards as the FX5200? It won't be used for any heavy hardware rendering anyway...

Are you set up for a test?
If not I'd bet someone has.

Google the question, look at reviews or opinions.

That's very true. In the end, as I said, it may also depend partly in Spacedye's upgrade plans. As in, is it a card destined to sit in an AGP motherboard until the end of its days, or is it going to be "passed around" as a testing/emergency card, etc.
