Linux not working with Intel WiFi

    So, I put Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit on my Lenovo IdeaPad V570 (Core i5, 6GB RAM, 640GB HDD)
Well, the damn wireless doesn't seem to be working!

How do I make it work?
It didn't work with Fuckedora either last time I tried but I assumed Ubuntu would have better supprt...

It's some Intel chip with WiMAX And WiDi but I don't care about that, just want my Wireless internet back
    Thanks guys and merry christmas!

Re: Linux not working with Intel WiFi

I googled this and it was a problem with buggy drivers in Ubuntu 11.04, but it was resolved in April. If you have a download of 11.04, I would try that instead.

    Try this Link: http://intellinuxwireless.org/

11.10 is a radically changed version of Ubuntu, so expect problems.

I always run the prior version of Ubuntu to avoid these problems.

I don't understand why anyone would prefer the Unity desktop to Gnome.

Sorry I tossed all my old outdated Linux CDs
Here's my (well I hijacked it) thread about it:
