Opinions on this Motherboard & PSU required

    Comments on this motherboard please

Looks interesting. Requires an EPS12V PSU. Any recommendations?

Treat it like anything else just add another 90W or so for the second CPU. EPS12V correct me if I'm wrong is just another 4 pins for the CPU connector. On newer motherboards this is optional.

For most desktop boards, 4-pin is required and 8-pin is optional. However, that board is a dual-cpu board. I rarely work on those, but my understanding is that some of them require the full 8-pins.

Were you looking for PSU recommendations, or just thoughts about the board?

Both. Is the board likely to be a good performer? Noisy? Hot-running?

I assume it needs a good 5v output for two CPUs. Suggested PSU would be good

        Thanks, Barry

its going to run warm with two cpus in there... not hot but warm at least. good airflow always helps. on the consumer side, this should be enough for those two cpus and a nice gfx card: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139005
on the server side, any zippy or supermicro ~350w (if you are runing the cpus and maybe just a display card) and if you wanna add a gfx card that is higher end, probably ~500w.
