    Help about finding crimp connector

    Hello friends,
I was repairing a PSU that somebody was inside already and melted the AC input wires that connect to the board and they are crimped with the some terminals that I cannot find anywhere. Does anyone know where i can find such terminals?

Re: Help about finding crimp connector

i think that's it, seems some psus crimp a metal piece that holds all the strands together so when it's put into its hole in the pcb, there are no strands that go sideways and all go through the hole to be soldered. IMHO it provides little strain relief...

Re: Help about finding crimp connector

I have extracted another crimped wires from another PSU but they look different. They are used to hold the strands together on multiple wires so they don't move during soldering.I'm looking for such crimp terminals, but I can't find any. Please help me find some.

          bootlace crimps,
but they have strain relief and retention barbs - which is unusual

if you dont need the insulation gripping and just want to keep the strands together then use "bootlace ferrules".
make sure the crimp tool is 6 sided and not 4 sided

or just twist and tin the wires before inserting them

              Hello All,

tl;dr: minimal electronics experience and my first repair, lifted 8 pads off the laptop display LED controller board when attempting a connector replacement, options are attempting pad repair or jump wiring.

              Laptop Model: MacBook Pro 15 Mid-2014 Retina, A1398 MGXA2LL/A
eDP Display: Samsung LSN154YL01-A02, assembly sold as Apple part 661-8310
Soldering Equipment: Hakko FX-888D w/ T-18 tips (Chisel, Conical, Bevel types)

I needed to replace the 30-pin I-PEX Cabline connector (labeled J8300 in the Apple 820-3662 mainboard schematics),...

70mai Dash Cam A510 - help identifying connector on camera module
              by m1ch43lzm
              Hi everyone
I have a 70mai Dash Cam A510 which failed after about 3 months of being installed in my car, likely due to heat, i got it from aliexpress so no point in trying to return it for warranty (and shipping it back would cost me almost the same as a new one from ali)
The camera would boot loop showing 70mai logo on the screen, sometimes it would boot fine then the live view would freeze or display purple lines

I already took it apart, and found out that the camera boots fine if i unplug the camera module from the main PCB, sometimes "playing" with the connector...

              LCD Connector identify or source
              by reformatt
Trying to identify where to source the LCD connectors on the motherboard side for a HP 14-cf2051la. This one came in with liquid damage to the connector and the flex cable. It appeared to clean up ok, however customer says that display blanks out intermittently. It's a 30 pin EDP flat ribbon cable on motherboard side. Believe it to be a HEDWIG-6050A3155301-MB-A01 motherboard.

I've stolen the connector from another HP motherboard which matches up but it's not the best since it's been kicking around my donor pile for a while. This connector is different to most flip type ones I have...

If I removed the LCD connector while the battery is still plugged in, did this damage the logic board like it would a laptop? This is my first time working on one and not only did I forget to unplug the battery when removing the logic board but after I replaced the USB-C port, I broke the clip that keeps the LCD connector snug to the logic board.

I can replace the LCD connector if I knew the logic board was ok. I secured the LCD connector with a piece of Kapton tape. The console is charging but when power button is pressed, I only get backlight. So, I don't know where the logic...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...
