haven't heard that but janus is a funny name. looks the same as any adapter with an antenna connection, just get a fatter antenna.

HP 250 G7 runs slow and battery charge is disabled when adapter is inserted
          by Caimano
          HP 250 G7 with i3 8130U, MB EPK50 LA-G07EP REV 2.0 , PN L65699-601, Windows 10

Laptop works perfectly when on battery and battery is charged correctly when laptop is off.
Problem is that when adapter is inserted cpu clock is limited (visible in Task Mgr) and performance drops. Also battery charging is disabled when adapter is used and computer is on. As soon as computer is turned off battery charging starts.

Tried bios update through Windows from version F38 to F42 . Same problem

          Reinstalled windows same problem.

          I tried 2 different...

Please help to fix this PA-1151-03HS-ROHS power adapter
          by tmhobadcap
The power adapter is for my HP 600-1390 Touch Smart All-In-One Desktop which could not be turned on recently. I found that the power indicator led light on the power adapter was not on and so I think something wrong with the power adapter.

When I opened it, I found that the capacitor close to the led indicator light was with a bulged top. After replacing the capacitor, I still have trouble in getting 19V from the power adapter in order to turn on the computer. When I plug in the power, sometimes, the led (also the computer) does not turn on. But sometimes, the led (also the computer)...

No AC Adapter installed Dell 15 5570 LA-F115P
          by mferna14
Hi all, I am working on this Dell 15 5570 ( Motherboard LA-F115P). The problem was battery not charging but it was working on AC power with Original Power adapter. Upon diagnosing, no PSID. Found that PD1 (Double Zener Diode Package) blown. Replaced it with another one. Now whenI turn on the motherboard with the ON/OFF switch , only then I get PSID 3.3V & works fine with the AC power adapter, but in the BIOS setup it say "AC Adapter Not Installed" & battery does not charge at all. I am using the Original Power adapter. I am listing pin voltages of the ISL9538HRTZ. Hope someone...

Lenovo Y470N BIOS white-list wlan removal request
          by hotxboy
I have a old laptop Lenovo Y470N which is a old model with no UEFI BIOS boot option and the builtin BIOS restricts wlan cards known as white-list WLAN cards. I need to update the CPU microcode and remove the white-list WLAN cards function. Tried to the old fashioned way of hex replacement of vender-ID and device-id method but not very useful, I have to do this all over again after new wlan card and this method turns out freezing the laptop sometime. If possible I also need to enable UEFI boot function. Any help would be appreciated.
BIOS dump attached below. The BIOS is Insyde legacy BIOS....

Help needed to revive dead HP AC adapter
          by mikey5791
          Hi all,
Got this HP AC adapter model HSTNN-CA15(output 19.5V, 3.33A) for HP laptop which suddenly died yesterday.
Opened the adapter casing and did not find any burning part, loose or broken wire but the square T3.15A fuse still has continuity.

I pulled out the biggest green resistor nearest to main cap at CX2. The resistor has 5 band which is red, red, gray, gold, white. Is this a 22.8 ohm 0.5w type resistor(lenght abt 1 cm)? Please correct me if i m wrong. It measured about 0.4 ohm on dmm, so it is bad. I have no exact replacement so i use a 30 ohm 2w from my stock but...
