    Unknown caps identifying thread

    Since I find (for me) unknow caps usually once a month, I'll start separate thread for them to not pollute other threads

    Here is the first one. I swear I've seen the triangle logo somewhere but cannot recall it now.

    The caps I found in my monitor, never heard of them before
    I think the logo says "NK Con" but I find only one other hit on the forums for them, except mine...

          Good, thanks. But still, I automatically count everything I don't know as bad, it's safety precaution, and these caps I didn't find here. So I've placed the images here for informing others rather than myself, I don't want to know anything about them anyway

          Only exception is the cap in 1st post cause it looks like from Japan and in that old TV was high-quality caps only so there is high possibility these one is good to. Also the web won't help as long as there are no logos.

            The triangle logo indicates Matsushita (now Panasonic). This was their past logo.

                The REC in post 3 is actually TREC. They have been the subject of posts here before.

                  It's for Panasonic/Matsushita:

                  For some reason, it's not shown at the http://capacitor.web.fc2.com/ website.

                    Identifying caps on an old Zoom 9000
                    by Paxman_Swede
                    Hello!

                    I have two projects on my work bench. One is a friends dead JBL Xtreme speaker with a blown voltage regulator and corresponding bulged and shorted cap. That cap has clear markings so I know what replacement I need for it.

                    The other project however is a whole different deal. It's a Zoom 9000 guitar effect from the 90th that has developed a devil hound howl when there is no input from the guitar. I'm guessing caps problem. So, since I don't really use this effect anymore I thought it would be a perfect project to learn on.

                    I have studied the board and...

                    Seasonic B12 BC-550 – barely 2 years old and with BAD CAPS already!

                    I know I've been a little scarce lately (like the last 2-3 years), but I'm still here and still doing my thing with fixing PSUs.

                    For today's considerations, I have a Seasonic B12 BC-550 [A551bcafh] 550 Watt ATX power supply for you (click on links for full size images).

                    It's a modern ATX unit with fixed (non-modular) cables and an 80-plus bronze certificate. Here's the label:

                    Assistance with identifying replacement caps on ASUS P5VDZ-MX
                    by crosswinds
                    Hello,

                    So, pulled a motherboard out from storage, was working when put away, wont post when I took it out of storage today.
                    Since it was working, and it looks to be essentially time that killed it I figured its a good idea to replace the caps before digging further.
                    Looks to be only good quality caps on this board, so might not be the issue. But it is closing in on 20 years now so, wont hurt i guess

                    Its a ASUS P5VDZ-MX board.

                    I would really appreciate some assistance on what the best replacement caps would be for these:

                    Heathkit IO-4205 Power Supply Caps
                    by eryjus
                    Hello,

                    First, I am a complete noob with high voltage stuff. I'm learning, but I need help by someone looking over my shoulder.

                    I recently came into posession of a Heathkit IO-4205 5MHz Dual Trace Oscilloscope. The documentation is copyright 1978. I'm told it works.

                    I opened it up to check the caps before I applied power, and found the following black caps and wanted to know what they were. They are on the power supply board. I was able to read the name and model and came up with, "Nytronics 162J-1, 0.1uF, 20% tolerance, 2000VDC."
                    ...

                    GeForce 6800GT recap, need help identifying caps and finding replacements
                    by fl0w
                    Hi,

                    I just noticed that my Asus V9999GT (GeForce 6800 GT) had some swelling capacitors. I managed to identify the brown ones, which are Nippon Chemi-Con KZG series, 6.3V 820µF, which I plan to replace with this.
                    But for the yellow ones, I guess these are Fujitsu caps, without being able to identify which series... A picture of the video card is attached to the topic.

                    I need to replace:
                    • 2x 2.5V 1500µF => I plan to use this
                    • 2x 16V 330µF=> I plan to use this
                    • 1x 6.3V 680µF=> I plan to use this
                    Am I correct with the cap choices?

                    Thanks for...
