Are panasonic FC/FM series high temp enough?

Are the temperature ratings on panasonic FC/FM capacitors high enough (105C) for use in motherboards? I just want to double check before I embark on my first recap project on an old socket 478 Jetway motherboard which only has 2 blown caps, but I don't trust the rest to be ok so I am replacing about 27 of them (majority are around the Vcore area and the rest scattered about the board)

The temperature ratings for FC are good enough, but the ESR is not. If you are going to use Panasonic, use FJ and FL. Rubycon MBZ and MCZ are available on badcaps.net and are perfect for most boards.

Some boards (particularly really old ones like Pentium 3 or earlier) will let you get away with using FC or similar caps, but a lot won't.

FM are in between FC and FJ. They are OK on some areas of motherboards, but I would still advise using FJ or the Rubycon counterpart, MBZ, on the VRM.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Thanks for the info. When I get around to it, I will probably post pictures of this board with before and after shots

c_hegge has you covered on caps.
Sanyo WG are also rated well enough.

105C is the norm on motherboards.
