    Soyo SY-K7ADA V1.0

1.) I have 2 idenitcal soyo mobo. Both have bulging/leaking caps. I robbed peter to fix paul. I get no post beeps, no BIOS screen,no vid out, no HDD activity. What are some other things to look for. Vid card is a working card. Caps I changed were Wendel 1500uF 6.3V.

    2.) Have a KT3ABX possible manufactured by AZZA. http://active-hardware.com/english/r...d/kt3abx-3.htm
This one has ten bad caps between the cpu and back panel. D.S 2200uF 6.3V. These caps are leaking.

3.) last I have a ASROCK K7S41GX. http://www.asrock.com/product/product_k7s41gx.htm. no post, no vid out. no BIOS screen.

Looking for suggestions to help a newbie. read post here folks appear to be very helpful.

i assume that you mean you took good looking caps from one soyo to repair the other one. This is not a good idea because even though the caps looked good then may be bad inside. it would be better to get some new caps like panasonic fc, rubycon zl or nichicon and do the board again. then you can be sure that the caps are good and look for other problems like bad soldering, shorts, damage you did to the board traces. were the boards posting ok before you started repairing them?

for the KT3ABX, what is your question? the board will have to be recapped, all caps 1000uf and above if they are not from reliable manufacturers like panasonic, rubycon, nichicon, sanyo, must be replaced.

for the asrock, did the board die on you or did you receive it not working?

check the boards over and look for damage to the traces (like scratches with a screwdriver by mistake). look for other burnt components and burn marks on ATX connector, ram, pci slots. if you dont find anything then the board should be ok with a recapping. otherwise you may have other probs. please read all the forum to make sure you do the recap properly.

i assume your cpu, ram, psu that you used are working ok before.

i hope TC or KC8 pass by this thread to give you some better assistance.

swapping caps is bad news.you may put worse in than you took out.
i would see if topcat has a capkit for your boards.
