it is necessary to have something to hold the board while you are removing the capacitors. at the moment i am using two clamps which are turned upside down and clamped to the desk. the board rests inbetween the handle and the sliding bar that adjusts the clamp.
it may be difficult to see in the photos because i have covered the metal bits of the clamps with black electricians tape to protect the board.
For sure you will find some similar clamps in the garage if anybody does woodwork there.
