A few tips from me:
If you find capacitors in series or parallel and only one is blown, change all of them. Happened to me before where I fixed a telecom PSU and after a month or so it came back with just a different SMD capacitor (4 in parallel) blown at the same spot.
If you measure the resistance between a new MLCC capacitor and each of the used ones out of circuit in the broken parallel pack, you can tell which one is going to fail next.
You can somewhat guess MLCC capacitors by measuring the hight, length, width and what voltage that trace has and compare that to a reputable manufacturer MLCC spec sheet. You will be surprised that you can come down to 3 capacitance rating for a certain size. The rest is either trial and error between the 3 caps, or a judgmental good guess. Understanding the circuit helps.
Increasing MLCC capacitance as swapping out a 10uF for a 15uF one, that depends on what the circuit does.
MLCC capacitor colours are about materials used to make the MLCC. There are good videos on YouTube about that.

What do color variations on SMD Capacitors mean?
Hi All, I am working on a motherboard, with 10uf caps in a series. One of them is blown. The spares I have are 10uf dark brown, and the original ones in the photo are light brown/tan.
#1 Does the cap color have any meaning? i.e. size 0603/0805, voltage, etc? is it ok if same value, different color? I only have the dark brown caps
#2 These caps look like they are in a series, is it necessary to swap all of them or just the bad one?
#3 Can any problems arise from using a higher rated uF capacitor? ie using 15uf instead of the 10uf?
