I have a gigabyte x870i board I am attempting to repair. I have a working board as well to reference. The board is stuck on the dram light, wont post and I found the power good pin has 0 volts when powered on with a stick of ram installed. With out the ram it is 3.3v. Another weird issue with the board is when trying to use qflash to update the bios, the qflash light blinks for about 15 seconds then turns off for 30-45 seconds and then turns back on solid for about 3 minutes. My working reference board will flash the qflash led for about 15 seconds, turn off for a few seconds then turn back on...

Well, my account here still works. I still remember those days … replacing the caps to save a motherboard. Back before our current disposable-mentality really took-hold. I’ve looked around at the recent threads … it’s really cool how yall help each other. I’ve still been upgrading and fixing desktops and laptops. Replace a laptop-MB, install a NVMe-SSD, new thermal compound apply, pull a coin-battery to clear-cmos (that kind of thing).

Now that we apparently have to try to build laptops like phones (solder almost everything to the motherboard) looks like the idea of repairing...

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
