Helping with options for replacement caps

While in the process of taking apart my iMac g5's power source I nicked two different capacitors.

Here's what they say

KNB1560 MKP
0.47uF +/- 10% X2
275 VAC 40/110/56/8
EN 132400 250 VAC T3

was the closest I could find, but I'm not sure if the extra volts will matter as well I cannot seem to figured out what the 56/8 means

4.7uF 200V
TH105 degrees C(M)

I was able to find something similar then this, but not sure of the OP temp or the ripple current.

I might need to have a look at the layout sheet for the power source any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

The higher voltage won't do anything bad. In fact, it is just better protected
The CAP FILM 0.47UF 10% 305V MKP X2 is a good choice.

The 56/8 is probably some type specifications. Sure it should not worry you, as the original is a film cap and then only voltage and capacity matters. If it will fit, of course.

The second cap is also film cap? Then there should be at Digi-key a good deal of suitable caps replacements, such as:

It's actually a round Aluminum Capacitor that is non SM.

I went ahead and measured it I forgot I had some digital calipers >.>

Based on the fact that it's got a Dim of 6.3 mm and height of 11.8 mm

After refining my search I came up with

The only thing I'm not sure about is this ripple current business.

After doing even more measuring on the first one the one I suggested was a little big

was the next to closest size, but it's got a +/- 20% tolerance compared to the 10% could that have a bad effect?

Well, the you have to use the radial cap there. No biggie.
The +/- 20% tolerance is not a problem, as long, as the measured capacity is okay. They just telling you, that the capacitance is not as precise, as you might want that. Since the cap is used to passive PFC, it does not matter much. 20% is acceptable. You will, with the good manufacture you choosen, find that the cap is almost exactly 0.47uF in capacity, so, no worries.

IMHO the PSU will run w/o thie film cap, but probably not w/o the radial one, that might not be a part of the PFC...

Hi, I am a newbie to the forum. I am attempting to replace bad caps on two different motherboards. The 1st is a MBD001136-0071GGM, this board has 9 bad caps on them they are Tayeh 10v 1500uF +105c 10mmdx20mmh 5mm spacing Please recommend good replacements caps for them. I'm using this board to practice on before I do the 2nd MB. The 2nd motherboard is GM5661E ECS 945GCT-NM. I have 2 bad caps on it. They are OST RLS series 6.3v 1000uF +105c 8mmdx10-11mmh 3.5mm spacing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wow, didn't even know Ruby had a 20,000 hour series. Those should last longer than the universe itself, at any reasonable temperature.

The only thing I'm not sure about is this ripple current business.

Can't tell anything from the markings you posted, anything else written on the cap? Maybe some pictures would help. Without a manufacturer and series, all you can do is use the highest ripple current cap that will physically fit in the space you have and hope for the best.

These are X2 caps, they only serve to kill spikes/noise on the AC line. Capacitance isn't a big deal in this application, you want high voltage and !SAFETY!. As long as it's UL listed for X2 cap duty (these are), you're fine. Since this is connected directly across the AC line, X caps are specifically designed to not fail shorted, and to not be combustible.
