    Quick question about voltage

I need to change some caps on a PSU board of a 17" LCD monitor and only replacements I could find are rated at 25v but the originals are 16v. All the other specs are pretty much the same. The original caps are 1000uf @ 16v ripple 1350 and the replacements are 1000uf 25v ripple 1420 or something. Will there be adverse effects of doing this?

    Re: Quick question about voltage

Nothing wrong with capacitors rated for higher voltage, if the diameter and height parameters are OK.

Also, make sure the impedance is lower or very close to the old capacitor.

Thanks man, and yes the impendance of the replacement cap is far lower then the original
