AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (RX6600XT) Schematic & Board View

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (RX6600XT) Schematic & Board View

The Radeon RX 6600 XT is a performance-segment gaming graphics card by AMD, launched on July 30th, 2021. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Navi 23 graphics processor, in its Navi 23 XT variant, the card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon RX 6600 XT. Additionally, the DirectX 12 Ultimate capability guarantees support for hardware-raytracing, variable-rate shading and more, in upcoming video games. The Navi 23 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 237 mm² and 11,060 million transistors. It features 2048 shading units, 128 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs. The card also has 32 raytracing acceleration cores. AMD has paired 8 GB GDDR6 memory with the Radeon RX 6600 XT, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1968 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2589 MHz, memory is running at 2000 MHz (16 Gbps effective).

Being a dual-slot card, the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT draws power from 1x 8-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 160 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x HDMI 2.1, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a. Radeon RX 6600 XT is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 4.0 x8 interface. The card's dimensions are 190 mm x 110 mm x 40 mm, and it features a dual-slot cooling solution.

    AMD Radeon R9 290 / R9 380 / R9 390

The Radeon R9 290 was a high-end graphics card by AMD, launched on November 5th, 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Hawaii graphics processor, in its Hawaii PRO variant, the card supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon R9 290. The Hawaii graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 438 mm² and 6,200 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon R9 290X, which uses the same GPU but has all 2816 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon R9 290 to reach the...

GPU - AMD Radeon RX 6600 MECH 2X 8G missing voltage
    by thebarber
    Hi,

I have an RX 6600 from MSI, and it has no power. I have found no shorts, and almost all voltages are missing:
    • I have 5V on the back of the card (U310), but it seems to be used for video output (5V_VESA).
    • All fuses seem okay.
    • The thermal camera shows no hot spots.
    • I have flashed the latest BIOS (using CH341A). It makes 1.8v and 0.75v come back

I am used to repairing shorted cards and replacing blown components, but here I am stuck.

For schematics and board view, I use the Rev 2.0 PDF schematic, as nothing is available for Rev 1.0. However, Rev 2.0 is...
