I am working on a HP Pavilion 27-d0010nd that has dark screen. It appears that the backlight is not working.
Now i discovered that the backlight circuit is on the scalar board and has a burnt mosfet. (caused by a ceramic capacitor short).
If anybody can help me identify the partnumber it would be a very great help.
The board number is:
L76838-001
L99794-001
BigBen Scalar board.

by Carl0s-Hi,
Sooo - our IT got a pile of old iPads that the sales guys have been mistreating. These are free for grabs if you want to try to get one working. Thought I'd give it a try - if I get at least some life to I can give to my kid to entertain during a car rides.
But the iPad it self - its a 5th gen cellular model. When I initially plug it in it was completely dead. It was not recognized by my Mac nor it started to charge. Disassembled it opened up the battery connector and checked the battery voltage. My multimeter showed 0,7v. Had a spare micro-usb charging board lying...Yesterday, 12:51 PM -
by NopslideHello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....-

by Super360Hi as you can see from title, I have a samsung tv here that will show the smart tv logo and then no picture after that even hitting input or menu on remote and shows nothing but the backlight still appears to be on. The tv will turn itself off after a minute or so automatically. I'm somewhat confused if this is either a eeprom problem or a bad led strip problem. The power supply makes a pretty noticeable humming sound when it's turned on leading me to believe one of the leds are shorted but idk honestly. Any of you guys have any help for me? I have a good multi meter and can take pictures of whatever...4 Photos04-13-2024, 10:05 PM

Emboldened by an easy experience using my new T48 to remove bios password from a used machine of the same model (thanks badcaps), I ordered an ‘as-is’ HP 800 G6 Mini thinking it might be an easy fix. Now it looks like the bios chip has been removed and soldered back already, so I think I might be wasting my time with this board - someone more skilled has already tried…
Anyway, the fans spin up on this guy and there are a couple LEDs on the board, but there is no other sign of life. No video, no beep pattern, no keyboard. Since there’s so little feedback, I’m feeling out...04-06-2024, 02:09 PM -
by Radio FoxI'm repairing an Acer AL1916 monitor PSU at the moment. The 400v high voltage smoothing capacitor C114 is measuring completely O/C. The case of U101 has blown apart. Fuse F101 has blown. ZD121 reads 6 Ohms in both directions & ZD120 reads 99 Ohms in both directions. While looking at the data sheet of U101 (DM0565R), I noticed that the absolute maximum voltage for Vcc is 20v. However, the zener diode across the Vcc pin to GND is a 1N4748A (22v).
Now, whether that zener is used to constantly regulate the voltage, or whether its's used to protect the Vcc voltage from rising too high,...1 Photo-

by EazyBoneGot this massive TV and tested they backlights and they were out. Took it all apart and replaced them. Put it back together and boom they work! I then run it for many hours and all still working. I then needed to factory reset to pass on to next person and...
I factory reset and it shows Hisense logo fully lit up, then Google logo for a couple of seconds and forces shut off. Now that's all the TV does. Hisense, Google logo force shutoff. How is this possible.. anyone have some experience or advice for this. All I can think is somehow I got a software corruption which is ridiculous...Yesterday, 07:31 AM -

by pavithraI have 50 Chinese constant current isolated LED drivers based on LC6685 IC. 35 drivers are working fine, but there is a slight flickering in the rest of the drivers.
I have checked the output with oscilloscope and found that there is a slight random voltage fluctuation.
Is it possible to get the datasheet of LC6685 IC?
Also highly appreciate if you could let me know what could go wrong....1 PhotoToday, 02:46 AM -

by Gecko-ECHi Guys, I hope someone can assist me me. I have a HP Probook G2. It came in for not charging. When charger plugged in power light on the charge port was flickering as well as the caps lock light. Not a pattern, but inconsistent. I found a faulty mosfet on the power input which I replaced. Problem I have is that it does not start up without a battery unless I use a 18.5v charger. It does however start with the 19.5v with the battery installed, but the battery charge voltage is 2.58v. The required charger for this unit is a 19.5v of which I have tried several. The battery is bad and have ordered...04-14-2024, 07:37 AM

by AstrayHello, working on a laptop (MSI GS75 9SG-242US, Core i7-9750H, 2080 Max Q) and after replacing the screen and forgetting to disconnect the battery prior, I have no visible indications of power anywhere. It was working perfectly fine prior to the screen removal and replacement. Checked the motherboard PCB visually near the LCD connectors and didn't really see any indications of damaged surface mounted components but haven't looked under a microscope yet.
Battery charging light isn't turning on when plugged in and pressing the button does nothing regardless of being on battery power...04-14-2024, 09:35 AM -
