When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.

by nobbnobb1I am trying to get a set of Creative T40 computer speakers to work again of which I believe the problem is bad caps (470uF @ 35V). So I get a generic set off Aliexpress. The brands are meaningless, but if anyone cares it's a "Chongx"
When they arrive, to my surprise it's much smaller than the originals. These are 8mm x 15mm whereas the OE is 10mm x 20mm. Unfortunately my meter does not test capacitance but I'm guessing there's no way this meets spec at 80% the size.
Thoughts? Is it still worthwhile or safe to try and install these to see if...-

Hi All,
Laptop: ASUS F15 TUF Dash FX517ZC-HN114W
Context: When I was out the house my partner hard shutdown laptop while BIOS was updating, so my son has no working laptop now. Also as a result I know the BIOS on the chip is messed up so I can’t extract it using the ch341a and use it to perform the method explained on site to modify an update downloaded from the ASUS website to get the BIN to flash.
If anyone can help with a BIOS BIN/ROM file for this laptop, I would be forever in your debt! Thanks if you can help!

by trepachkaSee attached image. It says "X322" on it. This is a follow-up to my previous posted topic. The issue is upon lid closing, the screen turns off. When lid is opened, the screen remains dark.
This component is positioned right on the edge of the motherboard and has like a cradle made inside the case. I am assuming this component is used as a lid close sensor.
Please, help me identify it. Thank you....04-16-2024, 03:26 PM -

by unimatrix93Hello everyone,
I'm trying to fix a small LG TV with wierd issue.
So I check that the display is OK by fashing a lamp at the screen. LCD is okay OSD is showing up.
Now since the BL is dark, I disconneted the BL from the mainboard and I injected voltage to it with my blacklight tester.
The BL turns on, the tester shows around 80V. So the led strips are okay it seems.
Now I started to suspect the BL driver IC which is a MP3378.
I have a donor board (dead cpu) with the same IC, so I swapped the driver IC but it did not solve the issue.

by classicandyHi Everyone,
Please, I have a MacBook Pro A2338 M2, board number : 820-02773. The speakers and the microphone of the Mac are not working and I need assistance in fixing.
UR730 got damaged and short-circuited the motherboard. After removing the shortened IC; before and after putting the new one I ordered, the speakers [specifically the other one not affected by this IC] and the microphone are still not working. I do have sound through a Bluetooth speaker device or when I connect a headphone with microphone to the jack 3.5mm input. Also, media files do not play unless a...04-14-2024, 12:00 PM

by lorislentinoHello,
I own an MSI Z370 Krait Gaming mobo but with the last bios update I unfortunately bricked it, so I'm searching the BIOS .bin dump file for reflash the eeprom (I already have a C431A Programmer).
I've just subscribed in this forum and I hope someone can help me to get out of this situation, it's really frustrating because I can't find anywhere this bios.
Thanks!-

by aaronkatriniHi all,
Recently picked up this GTX1650 at a local flea market for a low price and wanted to use it on my secondary PC. I first tested the card and saw the fan spin for a split second and then nothing. Immediately I thought of a short circuit. Disassembled and found a shorted SMD capacitor, injected voltage into it (1V/4A) and two Mosfets got hot immediately (QN3103 & QN3107). Desoldered these Mosfets and the card turned back to life.
Bought replacements from Aliexpress and replaced them afterwards. Tried the card but still the saw the fan spin for a split second...04-18-2024, 03:15 PM -

We have this set here in our shop that is not ginving sign of life besides red light that is blinking one time after pressing the button and nothing more... After detaching the mainboard from the PSU (this set has separate board thank god?! or not...) the backlight comes on. After reattaching nothing besides red light.... Can anyone from the forum help me here? Thank you in advance. Here's a link with images of the mainboard and the memory IC's that are on it.
