Evening all,
Long time no post!
I have a UE49NU7100K here with the classic melted diffuser and damaged backlight from getting too hot. Locally there is a UE49MU6470 available which I could pick up to replace the melted diffuser. Would this work or am I missing something? They look like the same style of backlight.
If this sounds good, where is the best place to buy a new backlight? Will I regret buying from Aliexpress?

Hello, I have the following laptop:

Motherboard information is below:

It needs BIOS repaired.
I created a flash drive using HP firmware utility and then had it plugged into the computer. I did the standard WinLogo->B key->Power button press. A window appeared and immediately began flashing the bios using the flash drive.

A customer called me up and said that half the screen was like a shadow - presumably the backlight has partially gone. I've never done a repair like this on a monitor, only circuit board based repair on Macbooks etc - is it something that's doable or generally not?Today, 03:52 PM

I had this Lenovo Flex 3 1580 worked fine. Suddenly it won't power up. After open it up, I found it can start with lid closed when I plug in the power adapter. (No need to press the power button) If the lid is open, it won't start after plug in the power. After it is powered up, the on-screen keyboard works. But the mouse pad and physical keyboard won't work. The power button won't do anything.
From the symptoms, it looks the keyboard control is not working. The logic of the signal from the lid sensor is reversed. If just one thing is broke, what is it?...Today, 03:48 PM -

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?

I'm investigating the above mentioned Yoga 7. There's something causing it to loop in the power up phase. I can hear a ticking noise before my USB Digital Multi-meter resets.

So we have a DELL XPS 9520 a woman broke her screen and needed an immediate replacement so we removed bitlocker and put her Drive in an Asus TUF gaming laptop, everything is hunky dory.
We happen to have another DELL XPS 9500 screen that is compatible with the 9520, so tried installing new SSD's and doing a clean windows 11 install.
During formatting the installer can't find the Intel drivers for the nvme controller?

Hi people, i have an acer nitro 5 with motherboard model gh51m la-k861p , it came with the resistor pr103 blow up, i repaced that resistor, i check the coils plb2, pl301, pl501 and has no short to ground, i conect the charger and it doesnt power at all, i check pqb3 on pin 5 to 8 and its 19v, pin 1 to 4 its 0

So I'm having difficulty finding line drawings for this motherboard NM-C53. My charging port was broken. So I replaced it with a terrible solder job. Problem is pin 3 on the drawing I saw on here has it listed as adapter-id. Now I checked my other pins and I have continuity (resistance check from power to ground). Pin 3 shows nothing. Now I boot the computer and it says to use a power adapter with the proper wattage and won't charge. I have read that pin 3 is usually tied to a resistor that identifies the charging power thus disabled the ability to charge if it fails the check. I look at my board...Yesterday, 07:27 AM

My laptop started having a really strange problem....
When I turn it on the fans start working at a crazy rate and with random breaks...
They can work for say 10 seconds and stop for 2 seconds and then turn on again for 5 etc...
And it's from 0 to 100%. I tried to install AIDA and did the processor chip test and the graphics did not exceed 70 degrees and the fans were not even close to working at the power they work randomly.

Hello everyone.
I'm troubleshooting a cisco switch, which seems to have an issue with the PSU.
The psu has the following power rails - +12v, -53.5V and +3.3V
When connected to power, the +12 and -53.5 seem to work fine, but the +3.3 starts at ~3v and then goes down to ~0 (I guess this is the cap discharging). This happens both when the cable is connected and not to the switch board.
Any ideas what might be causing this behavior?
