Convert K55VD REV 3.0 DIS->UMA

hi my friends ,
today i share how to convert k55vd dis to uma REV 3.0 (and also my mistake to learn from it ).

this method work 100% tested ,but my mistake it was ,i forget to install a heat sink for the chip, i discover that later ,first it was ok, after few time the spin work on full speed and i discover that the chip was hot , (in my case i broke it but we learn from our mistakes ), then if you wanna convert to uma you should install an heat sink for a chip like on other old asus model ,see pictures attached.(i doubt in bios problem or processor problem but after i broke it i discover that ,hope that may help some one, BUT YOU SHOULD INSTALL A HEAT SINK).
tested and worked fine and successful conversion .

does the process involve only removing those mentioned components?
is reprogramming EC or main BIOS required too?

You don't need to reprogram ec or bios,just remove those components,and it will display directly .

Sorry for my bad English ,I mean install a little piece of cooling system like in the second picture is for Asus model also you can for example do the same just take it from old model and installed in k55vd ,the place to fix it already exist in motherboard see red circle in the second picture. Hope that help you ,my mistake it was I forget to install this little piece and fix it .

It's not possible remove the bga to solve this issue ?
I don't see the boardview but probably it's possible to disable all gpu voltages
removing some resistors it's not the best thing having a damaged component onboard

You have right,but for those who don't have conditions or materiel to change the GPU ,this still a solution also.

1. why remowing when u can damage board when removing and after remove u have exposed pads that u must solve

2. when u disable gpu voltages u must correct non working PWRGOOD signals

3. it is the best as wrote in 1.

A friend of mine has an K55VD but REV 3.1
He told me that one day it stopped working, previously he had some times when the laptop refused to boot, but after long pressing power button and powered it again it worked.
Could it be the graphic chip or a failed BIOS? How can I tell?
