Default Anyone go to lan parties?

Anyone here go to any lan parties? A guy around here holds one every 2 weeks, and another guy has one every once in a while. The guy who has one every two weeks has a website for it, and also has a ton of money. Hes getting sponsors right now, already has a sponsor from Computer Power User magazine, currently in the works of one with bawls energy drinks, and the Indiana-Illinois-Michigan sales represenative for Nvidia is going to try to stop by next lan party, and theres a slim chance of getting nvidia as a sponsor.

Edit: heres the website

www.thedungeonlanparty.com

You can actually see me in a few of the pictures he took:

Default Re: Anyone go to lan parties?

We used to hold LAN parties at a local school in their cafeteria. We got bawls to sponser us once and send us some schwag. LAN parties kind of died off around here now that you can just hop on the internet and have no problem with lag and the like. They were mostly popular around here when most folks still had 56k at home and couldn't play MoH:AA and Quake3 over the web
