Default Cooler Master Centurion 5

This is one sick case. I think i will get another one. Pity about the 80mm front fan though. Pics came out a bit crap.

Front panel is part aluminium. The aluminium side edges look very good. The grilles also. The panel is solid and comes off the case nicely without breaking things.

The bay covers are grilles and they have dust filters at the rear.

When the front panel is removed the areas for the front panel connectors and the power, reset switch and led remain attached to the case. This is very good so there is no fiddling with wires. The hdd led is a very nice blue. I did not see what the power led was yet cos it was connected wrong.

room for some cable tidying at the side.

the bays have a locking device on one side. its not too bad.

single 120mm fan for the rear and 80mm for the front. both were very quiet cooler master models

curiously you can put screws on the other side. the technician who assembled the case did so i see his faith in the locking devices......

price : 49 euro (without psu)

Why not just take your laser cutting machine and mod it for 120mm?

Mod it for a 92x38...If it will fit.
Silverstone offers 90mm fans that mount on 80mm fan holes.

Yes, it is a nice case.

I have personal experience with the Centurion 5 as well, and it's a great case to build with!

Nice review and pics!

Cooler Master is really catching my attention lately. The cases are very smart looking, and the design and construction looks well done. The only questionable area is the power button assembly in front of the 80mm front fan. Not only being 80mm is a negative (could be bigger for better flow/noise), but the button assembly blocks the intake, and that also cause turbulence noise.
So, how is the steel construction? As thick as, say, In-Win, Antec cases?

not sure about the steel thickness cos i received the pc built . I doubt it is on a par with the chenbro built antec ones, seems pretty standard low end stuff. its ok though, no complaints. A Lian Li which would probably solve your cooling complaint would be instead of 49 euro, 89 euro.

I got the Centurion 532 a few weeks ago to replace my old no-name case that housed my last 3 computers. Its the one with the vertical aluminum bars on the front, the buttons on the top, and a 120mm fan tucked away in front of the hard drive bays. I put another 120mm fan in the rear an mounted my hard drives with an empty bay between them. My system temperatures have dropped about 3-4 degrees C in the new case and my HDD temps have dropped by about 8 degrees. And the whole front is that cool looking black mesh with filters behind then whole thing to stop the dust bunnies from nesting in the case. Everything I have in there fit perfect and went together pretty painlessly, even the no-tool drive bays and rear slots work well. I really like the Centurion line, CoolerMaster hit the nail on the head with these cases!
