Sharp Aquos LC-60LE745U Two Long Two Short

Just recently acquired a nice Sharp Aquos LC-60LE745U that was just of warranty..

When plugged in, there is two long, two short blinks on the boomerang symbol that just repeat over and over. Screen is black, no indication of power other than the blinking symbol..

I pulled the back cover. No obvious burns, shorts or bad caps..

Re-seated all the connections. No change..

I found some button-combo presses while reading and tried those..

    PWR-INPUT-CHDOWN then plug in.
No change. Two Long, Two Short

    CHDOWN-VOLUP then plug in.
The boomerang LED comes on immediately and stays steady. No other change.

That's where I am at so far?? Don't have much in the way of real troubleshooting equipment. Just a little handheld volt meter..

Anyone offer some suggestions? Maybe come button-combo I missed?? A listing of Blink Codes perhaps??

Any assistance would be most appreciated..

Research has shown that the Sharp SERVICE MANUAL for this model has the error/blink codes definitions..

Unfortunately, the only place I can find that service manual is a pay site. I have been burned before and don't want to go that route..

Anyone point me to a link for the service manual??

When the led.is steady lot.look into the screen with a flashlight. Do you see anything?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

        Thanx for the reply...

        Nope, it's completely black.

No change whatsoever between power down and power up...

There should be a four pin cable going to the tcon board. Are you getting proper voltages there? The power supply is where this cable feeds from and the legend should be on the power supply to tell what the voltages are.

Near as I can tell, here is what I have...

This is the 4 pin connector on the T-Con board

According to my volt meter, this is where the 2 grey pins from the 4-pin connector end up...

That's the best shot of the legend that I can muster...
For clarity sake, I added the 1 and 2 on that pic...

Thanx for the reply R_J.. Much appreciated..

So, I need to check the voltages on the PD connector, pins 5-6-7-8, right??

Worst case scenario, the power PCB needs replaced..

                Does that sound accurate??

                Thanx again..

                    I'll let you know..

                    Thanx again...

No luck on the reflow.. I am going to review the manual and see what is what. If I have to replace the Power PCB, hopefully that is as bad as it gets..

Referring back to the pic of the TCON connector above.

Near as I can tell, there is 0 voltage on pin 2 and 4.

Unfortunately, in this case, I cannot report success.. But not for reasons one would expect...

R J - you wouldn't happen to have the service manual for the Sharp LC-60LE640U ? or is it close to the same as above?

I have the close to the same tv, mine is LC-60LE640U and it blinks 2 and flashes 5 times. I ordered a replacement powersupply which did not fix the error.

I am trying to figure out if the replacement board was bad or if there is some other cause for the error.

This thread is the closest I could find on the interwebs to a discussion on the power issues with these tvs.

Thanks ahead of time for not screaming at me for reopening a 2 month old can of worms.
