I'm trying to repair an Acer Aspire 1300 series, when I press the power button nothing happens... no fan, any led, nothing.
I disassembled it and removed all removable devices: battery, hdd, floppy, cdrom, ram but nothing changes I also tried to remove cpu too, still no changes The power supply output is ok, I checked the power button dipswitch on the mb and it works too... I'd like to test the standby power anywhere, it uses a Maxim 1632... any suggestion? |

Reading some useful threads on this forum I can add the mobo is probably a Quanta "T2A" rev E... I'm starting searching for the battery charger circuit on it

checking the battery circuit I've found on the battery + line (without battery attached) I've 5,45v just after insert the power plug, that voltage lowering constantly to about 0,6v after few seconds... could it be normal?
