Whats the best brand of non-japanese capacitors?

Been thinking about this for some time now... whats the best brand of non-jap caps?

Even though I have seen a ton of WB series failures, I am putting my money on Samwha, followed by Lelon and L-tec.

    Thoughts?

          Mine would be Jamicon.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Of course, excluding the problem series like GF and GL. The better ones like Samxon GD (GOOD) series are actually more reliable than some japanese caps, namely Chemi-con KZG and KZJ and that TK brand (short for Terrible Kapacitor IIRC)

I suppose some other taiwanese companies that don't make Low ESR caps, such as jamicon like japlytic suggested, are probably reliable as well, but are not suited to use in PC hardware. Lelon does not belong on this list at all. They are right down there with fuhjyyu.

Ill have to agree with c_hegge on this one i think, Samxon minus the crap series like GF. Seen busted Samwha in many products. Lelon and L-tec i still haven't come across so cant comment on those.

I thought TK was somehow related to OST?

No, they're distributed by TK in Japan, but made in Taiwan by OST. Unreliable caps.

Not necessarily. KZG are japanese, but are they reliable? What about the pre-2005 Nichicon HMs? Coming from Japan does NOT in any way mean that a capacitor will be reliable.

But UCC makes very reliable series, except for KZG/KZJ/TMZ/TMV....

TK doesn't make ANY reliable series.

For general purpose, i agree. A step up would be Epcos and Kendeil. For SMPS stuff, Samxon gets my vote.

Not really. Making something in china, and distributing it to Japan to Taiwanese and Chinese motherboard and video card manufacturers doesn't make sense.

That's just another press release/template text pushed to promote e-parasite and that other pro copyright bill.

Most of those fake things were actually contracted by the government after international bids and all that.

it's like the story of the firemen doing press release supporting e-parasite because apparently smoke detectors were fake but...

it turns out it's all bullshit.
