Thumbs up Comparison Table of 4 Major Japanese Low ESR Capacitors

Specifications of various famous capacitor brands

Here is a comparison table of four major Japanese low ESR capacitors.
Low ESR capcitors are suitable for motherboards, graphic cards and other circuits.

The lower the ESR, the higher the grade. (In the following table, the lower a capacitor is placed, the lower the ESR, the higher the grade.)

Nichicon NCC Rubycon SANYO Remarks
VZ KMG YXA MV-CZ 105C General Purpose
PW LXZ - MV-CX Miniature, Low ESR
HE KY YXG MV-CA K6, K6-2, P2, P3 grade
HD KZE ZL MV-WX K7, P3 grade
HV KZH ZLH - Extra long life, miniature, Low ESR
HM KZG MBZ MV-WG K7, K8, P4, P4+ high quality grade
HN KZJ MCZ - Ultra Low ESR
HZ - - - Lowest ESR of all electrolyte capacitors

Panasonic is not listed because of their low market share and different specifications!

Can we update this list and make it a sticky?

I.e. to have a good reference to go by...

I second that - it's a good idea.

The various series names may be confused by some - and such a table provides an obvious, easy way to identify 'equivalent' models by ESR, inter-brand.

My thinking too... Of course I have no idea if this very list is accurate or not, there are a few more lists like this one buried here somewhere...

Lightbulb Re: Comparison Table of 4 Major Japanese Low ESR Capacitors

This thread inspiring me, so i'll make a comparison table between 5 major Japanese LESR capasitors. (Chemi-con, Nichicon, Panasonic/Matsushita, Rubycon, and Sanyo).
