this should be ok for checking caps in circuit right?

should do fine.
dont pay much though as slow ones like this are 10.00 at the flea here.
perfect for looking for trash on vcore,ect.

10MHz BW? P/S PARD (ripple and noise) specs are usually specified assuming a 20MHz BW. That said, the P/Ss and VRMs should have switch frequencies of under 1MHz (P/Ss using transistors as switching devices are probably <50KHz), so 10MHz BW is easily sufficient for detecting switch frequency ripple or oscillation due to elevated ESR. Fluke has some nice 60MHz handheld scopes (190 series) for under $2,000USD.
