samsung syncmaster 930b monitor

i have a samsung syncmaster 930b that thye screen is flashing on when i looked inside i found 3 capacitors blown

2x-capxon GL series 820uf 25v
1x-capxon GL series 470uf 25v

i was just wandering what would be the best replacement for these

I used PANASONIC FM or FC series from Digikey, just get the correct diameter and height. Use USPS for shipping to save shipping charge

another question was looking at the other capacitors is there a reason that all of the other capacitors are KM series and the 3 blown ones are the only GL series

Like other manufacturers, Capxon makes different series of caps for different applications. GL is their low ESR series. KM is their general purpose. Some parts of the lcd require low ESR and while others do not. Low ESR caps undergo more stress than general purpose caps.

Capxon has a terrible reputation for making quality caps. For that reason, most regulars here replace all Capxon caps regardless if they are bloated or not.

so do you recommend that i change the KM series as well i have no problem doing it if it is better to do

never mind i just answered my own question by looking at the post you suggested one last question tho sry to be a bother i know you have to match the height and diameter so it fits however does it have to be exact or can it be lower

also if the GL series was thier low esr models then i need to look for replace ments with an esr correct just asking cause i was on digikey looking for replacements but some had an esr but no impedence others had impedence but no esr and some had neither one of them so wich ones am i actually looking for

Hi -a couple of millimeters wont make much difference but get as near to the size as you are able. Careful if going bigger that they wont touch anything and you can get back into the case. If you get the panasonic FM or FC as Budm said, you dont need to worry about ESR
