    Fake Rubycon & Teapo?

I just got these in Indonesia.

It seems obvious that the Rubycon is fake judging from the poor letter printings.
The code "CE 04W - 0506" is another hint?

The Teapo on the other hand, the letter printings are much better than the Ruby.
But I can't find the datasheet for SD series. Or it's obsolete?
Btw, does Teapo has Blue color?

    Thanks for any input.

Also, Rubycon has the "K" style vent. I also don't know if Rubycon makes caps rated at 85C. It is possible, but I don't have years or experience dealing with caps and brands.

Yes, Rubycon does make 85°C caps. However, those pictured do not appear to be real Rubycon.

        Re: Fake Rubycon & Teapo?

Rubycon makes 85C caps, but they are usually just general purpose.

Teapo use to make blue caps. Not uncommon to find blue teapo's in 3-4 year old psu's. Could be the SD series is now just obsolete.

I've seen Fuhjyuu teapo knock-offs. Same colors as teapo, with the usual 3 pronged vent of Fuhjyuu but it looks like some workers scratched 3 little dots in between each prong. They were in a R-senda EPSpower-660 500W 80plus sample, just a carbon copy of a FSP epsilon by R-senda.

Rubycon always uses the 3-lined "K" vent.

I agree. the rubies look kafe, but the teapo looks OK. It would be very sad if a company was trying to fake cheapo teapo of all brands.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

At first they seem to be 80's era Rubycons but I have Rubycon caps from the 80s and they look nothing like that.

They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

                    Re: Fake Rubycon & Teapo?

Just following up on my own post. I received a 2002 circa monitor yesterday and it has real Rubycon 2002 85C YK series with "K" vents and the raised bung.

None of them look bloated, but I don't have an ESR tester.

Teapo SD is obsolete yes. I came across the data sheet a while ago. Enclosing it in case someone need it for reference.
