Re: Insignia 39" led tv, NS-39D240A13 - no video
You need to find out if there is 12VDC feeding the integrated T-CON board or not, the LVDS cable on the main board to goes to the T-CON should have 12Vdc on at least one of the pin.
There is also SMD fuse on the T-CON board and a bunch of switching power supplies on the T-CON board.Never stop learning

Re: Insignia 39" led tv, NS-39D240A13 - no video
I got this TV ( Insignia NS-39D240A13 ) and it works but the screen flashes through these colors. Like a color test pattern. Pushing exit on the remote fixes it sometimes for 5 seconds and sometimes for 10 minutes, so annoying. I am guessing the EEPROM is bad but I can not find any where to buy one.
Cycling Colors
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I have even thought of replacing the board from another TV that will fit. If I replace it with an original used part it will only do it again. I have read online about this TV and it seems everyone has the same problem and there seems to be no way to fix it.
I am hoping someone knows how to hack this or bypass this problem.
Please help me save this TV, Thank you.Last edited by Shane711; 05-05-2015, 09:49 AM.

Re: Insignia 39" led tv, NS-39D240A13 - no video
Update: I have purchased an EEPROM for a 32L121A13 hoping that it will work because it is of the same board but it did not work. I can turn the TV on and off but nothing displays on the screen, it just lights up. So my next step is to buy a main board for the 32L121A13 and change the panel connector. If this does not work then the TV seems to be unfixable. Or if there is someone out there that can read and reprogram an EEPROM that may work as well. The color test would have to be disabled.

Re: Insignia 39" led tv, NS-39D240A13 - no video
Hi Budm
I finally got a chance to check the cable coming out of the main board to the integrated tcon and there is 12v coming from the main board. If the main board seems to be working, how do I go about checking the fuses and power switches on the tcon board?
Another weird thing is that, as soon as I plug the a/c cord to the outlet, the tv panel will turn on by itself (I don't need to press power at all). However, once it is on, I can turn the tv off and on with the power button. Could this be a symptom of the problem?

You will have to remove the metal frame of the LCD panel to get to the circuit board so yo can locate the fuse.Never stop learning

Re: Insignia 39" led tv, NS-39D240A13 - no video
It has been awhile but I am finally trying to tackle this tv again. I checked the ps board and pins 10 and 11 have a voltage of 13.5v coming out of them (it is supposed to be 12v)....is that too high or within specs? The rest of the pins have good reading.
I am trying to first figure out if the turning on by itself issue (when first plugged into the electrical outlet) is the root of the problem. What would cause the tv to turn on by itself when plugged in?Last edited by jackal68; 11-30-2015, 12:33 PM.
