    Hi Guys,

I need some help over this packard bell Easynote SL 81,
the problem is, when power it on, fan spin for 3 sec and then laptop shut off, i make it open and saw this thing [cee picture] s little brown, could this thing be the problem, i don't have the schematic for this, i thought in first place the clock generator is the problem, but now im little bit confussed, and how do you call that brown thing there?

    any help is welcome.

I do no think your problem is the coil. You can check for continuity on both pads of the coil. Also check resistance to ground and if you have 1.2v on the coil pads when you press the power button.

Continuity on the coil is ok,
and the 1,2v after press power button s ok to,
              any other idea?
