    Crown CH4 Crazy Relay

Having trouble with my Crown Ch4 it first went into fault mode on both channels. I found a service manual and used test points to further figure out the issue. I forgot to discharge the power supply when I removed the Flyback PWA board Then I forgot to put the Flyback PWA board back in before I powered it back up

So now the relay sounds like a machine gun when I try to power it up.

I had similar relay behavior on an onkyo receiver - it turned out that it just needed the back plate for good ground on all boards.
So check if all your board/cable connections are fine. Also, upload the service manual ( if you have it ).

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try that, and I have a service manual for CE4000 which is identical to the CH4 on the inside.

I bolted back in the board, and made sure ground was good. Still does it, but this time I noticed a ticking/clicking sound coming from somewhere on the flyback PWA board.
