WD Scorpio Blue a rebranded Hitachi?

Just installed a 250gb Scorpio Blue into my Netbook, and the BIOS identifies it as a Hitachi drive. Does WD not make their own 2.5" drives?

Funny, I was just reading the thread about Samsung selling their storage line, and saw your post about WD in there right as you were replying.

I wonder if the Scorpio Blacks are still WD. This Blue came from an Xbox 360 actually.

blacks probably still are, i don't think they would switch, as its their flagship line. blues are just whichever drive is cheaper and more convenient to package at that time.
