    Hanns G HG281D dead...

    Hi,

My friend has a Hanns G which when plugged into mains is dead, screen not on, no LED on front panel. Prior to this he said it had become temperamental, not turning on first time, having to flick switch (mains?) on and off 2 or 3 times before it would come on.

A quick scan pointed to PSU caps, so I bought a cap kit, 2 actually, the first one was for the wrong model PSU, anyway, I have now changed all the caps on the PSU from the kit and it is still dead.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forums,

Does the screen come at all when you initially turn it on?
Fixed so far : 1 Home cinema system, 16 LCD Monitors, 4 LCD TV's

Can we assume you have checked the fuse in the power cable / tried another cable?

It covers almost everything wrong with this lcd. Afterwards, ask questions.
