i dont feel confident repairing this board but im still debating if i should order the repair kit

i dont want to ruin the board then end up buying another board

There are people on eBay offering repair services for around $70. Out of 10 used boards I got on EBay at least 6 of them were bad. They send board with blown fuses and claim it worked when they shipped it.

yea i was thinking about sending it to one of the repair services on ebay

i have purchased several boards from ebay and only one was defective
but i know not everyone sells working boards so i do think twice before buying from ebay sellers

i ordered the repair kit from shopjimmy

so i am going to attempt to replace the faulty components

So I received the xmain and the repair kit for the ysus

I dont think i will be able to replace some of the components
They are really freaking small

Any suggestions?

Anyone in the states willing to replace these for me?
Of course I will pay

Ok so I replaced everything that was in the repair kit on the ysus board

I installed the ysus and the xmain board from shopjimmy

I powered it on and nothing!

No picture no sound

Please help

I disconnected the logic board to the ysus and now VE is 20.8v before it was at 10.2v
This is with the xmain from shopjimmy

If I disconnect the ymain cable to the xmain ve drops to 16.56v

What is the voltage on your y-sustain board VSC?

after i replaced the repaired ysus and xmain from shop jimmy i believe the vsc was -45.3v
i will check again when i get home today

i do know it is below spec

VSC should be -198 according to the label from your picture from TV. If only -45 then your Y-sustain still has problem. Try disconnecting both buffer boards from Y-sustain and verify VSC again.

i did disconnect the buffer boards and that is the voltage i tested

Vsc is -12.65v with buffer boards disconnected

Your Y sustain board is still bad. You may have more bad parts then what the repair kit provided.

I believe shop jimmy provided parts that based on their experience goes bad. You may ask their tech. support and they may provide you some feedback. Compare the parts with one you already replaced and see if new parts are still OK or they shorted. You may have bad panels and it may short your sustain board after repair.
