Hello Everyone, I just registered to be able to access the attachments from other members, in all CCFL related posts and else, as I have a few issues with them myself, tricky things those bastards, BTW, not planning to post any questions but will do if I find myself stuck. my name is Mario, like in mario 64, am 44 and I'm a long time computer and harware tinkerer since the times of the commodore 64 then XT PC, of course all this 10 years after you guys, as that was the time it took for the pc revolution to arrive to my place, a far far away country, same timezone, that explains my age and timeline respect things. not a time traveler, just arrived late to the party.

(Re)Intro: have used and purchased from BadCaps before (about 7 or 8 years back) but the login proggie seems to have forgotten my email, or else been updated or restarted since then.

I'm mostly interested in saving/improving various items of scavenged electronics found here and there for redistribution hither and yon, and have had some success over the years, (plus a few very educational fails). My circuit troubleshooting skills are minimal, but every now and then I improve a little...

Hello everyone...so...Daniel here, also known as Danny or Dan (use whichever you please). Formally a translator, practically an electronics technician (go ahead and laugh like everybody does), so I thought it'd make sense to join your community. My job involves mostly fixing TVs, but laptops, tablets, phones and PCs also show up. I'm mostly interested in getting help with occasional "stubborn" TVs that don't want to give up that easy and refuse to get fixed...several minds and ideas are better than one, right ? I'll also hopefully be able to help others as much as I can with my own experience. I could go on for quite a while about me, but that's not the ideal place, so that's it for now. Cheers.

Hi, This is Terry. I go by Frugal-T which indicates that I don't try to waste money. I don't skimp either. I just try to get the best value for my $.

I hope to find valuable information here to help me in my quest.

                Thanks,

Wish I had found this site much sooner, hard to believe that we've been fighting bad caps this many years, and still going! Looking forward to finding many more issues with things I can fix myself, than just toss things in the trash.

                        Hi everyone.

I'm new to the forum today. I've had purchased a few repaired TVs secondhand and have had great luck with them so far, and so I've been keeping my eyes open for deals on TVs with non-cracked panels to learn some more and perhaps make a little bit of money here and there. I've been doing some extensive searching, but it's a bit of alphabet soup when it comes to replacement part numbers and "compatible" parts.

Before today, I had never once heard of Badcaps, which is surprising because this looks like an excellent resource! I have a background with tech professionally, but would love to learn more about the electronics/troubleshooting side of things.

Hello!By a funny stroke of luck my first name is the same as that of the last person before me to introduce himself, but I rather be called takosuke. I'm spanish, yet mostly residing in Berlin, and am a bit of a jack of all trades, dabbling in painting, software, music and repairing my friends' junk. I ran into this forum when looking for the schematics of my girlfriend's macbook. Every repair I've done until then was all fun and games and making my friends think I'm a genius because I can replace some thermal paste or a laptop keyboard, but she did a nasty wine spill that has made me run through a bunch of Louis Rossmann's amazing motherboard repair playlists and go down that rabbit hole for days.

Hope to have a lasting relationship with y'all, and good day!
