i may know who made the TMS caps

before we start let me quickly tell you that this is based of evidence that i found that may or maynot be true

now i know i may be 11years late but who cares [or maybe no one cares anymore who made the tms caps]

now i looked at every brand including the highest end japanese ones to the cr@ppy low end chinese ones and i noticed one brand which had markings very similar to the TMS markings and the same vent

now like i said i'm not sure if anyone cares anymore
so i may leave it here until i see someone who still cares

i know it's a stupid thing to do but i don't feel like saying it if no one cares
i will wait a few days to see if people will be interested in seeing it

The older TMS series capacitors didn't, AFAIK. Care to divulge who the troublemaker from yesterdecade was?

i did not know who made the TMS caps until one day i open up an old feit electric CFL i removed the 22uf cap because i thought it looked familiar
(the TRB cap) and i noticed that the marking on the cap we're identical to the TMS caps except for 2 things

#1 the letters (TRB VS TMS)

#2 it had a brand name on it

and the name on it was

the TMS caps are likely to be made by samsung
of course there is a slight chance that some other company could be using the same kind of print on their capacitors as samsung (let's not get into that )

but yes i do think that samsung made the TMS capacitors

Oh, so it was Samsung who made those crap caps. Figures. Samsung was never a great brand. Their electrolytic division was acquired by Samwha in October 2002 (Nichicon's Korean subsidiary since December 1973). Then, some few years later, Samwha started churning out a ton of crap low impedance caps, which brought many a LCD TV to their knees. Hmm wonder why?

That's why i don't use samwha too often.
