Re: Installing 98SE and or ME

64mb and 386mb are not the same

i used to use a micron transport trek2 with 366 pII and 128mb of ram...it originally had xp pro (used as dynamo label writer station).. it WAS slow at loading windows (the program windows, not the os)... you could see it start at the top and move down, lol. it still did not run too bad... until the tiny 6gb ibm hd gave up and i had to run it on 2000... it still was used alot since my other laptop had no battery but this thing did. it died when i was using it and fell asleep and hit the screen. how sad i was since it had a big 1024/768 screen and s-video out, and 2 usb ports... my eee pc 1000he does the job now, but that thing was my best friend at the time, hands down.

98SE runs in 64mb, because that is its upper memory limit.
Any additional RAM is used as a disk cache, not for apps.

NetWare 4 runs just fine in 64mb.
      I had a law office on a P233 and 64mb for years.
Not every OS is a pig.
