    HP f2105

Hi all got a small problem with my 21" hp monitor

First thought inverter board had a bad transformer as there are three to run 6 lamps but they all tested ok so next suspected lamps bingo middle two (which i have circled in yellow) not working or maybe just one of the two as i connected 2 lamps externally and screen worked fine on 4 lamps with an adjustment to the brightness .
I know i will have to replace one top and one bottom to balance it out but until i have sorted out another monitor so i can fully strip it down to measure bulb length and replace i have heard i can use a resistor across the connections to make monitor run .
My questions are 1 is it possible and 2 if so what size resistor should i use ,
this would only be a temp measure until i get sorted .

Any input welcome thanks in advance

This model is know for having bad lamps (fixed 3 of them), easily broken plastic hinge for the power switch ( fixed 4 of these using RTV to fix the hinge), bad LCD panel (vertical lines). But it does have good pictures when it works.

                  Hi Rtech

Mine turned out to be the lamps on top of the screen had rotted the earth cables so i picked up another that had a good screen and lamps and swapped them over .

So if you need any spares i have a working psu ,inverter and main board in fact i have the whole unit minus the screen and power button as it was broken plus a stand
