Hanns g HW173D Display not work, not seen

Hi all, i recently discovered this beatiful forum..

I would like to help, have a monitor Hanns g HW173D can not see the display, the backlight works perfectly, but the image can not be seen, as if the control board and the cable is not connected.

I was wrong to connect the power adapter to the video card control (image 4) and instead of 5v has connected 12 v, with the result that the monitor looks dead even if the logic board works, but I did not understand if it is damaged the controller or the board vga dispaly (image 2) ...

    What can it be?

I checked out the logic board and power, and turn on the switch, but nothing appears on the screen, if it was just the logic board I could buy another one, but not sure if it is damaged the display controller, how do I know? and if you buy another card, and it does not work? ...

(sorry for the english, I'm Italian, i hope i was clear enough)

    The following are some pictures:

Pictures not great for troubleshooting but I think this is a fuse.
    on the picture.

Can you test it and also look for others like it.

If you are not sure the value of the fuse, you can use your meter to read the dc current draw and double up on the read for the value of the fuse.
            See example here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...434#post309434

I found letter Z (OR N) on the fuse:

              I can not find around...

Meanwhile, "I solved" with a normal fuse, as I try to smd

              (ridiculous solution.)

I can't see a "Z" or an "N from your picture. The way you read an smd fuse is that the long side is on top and bottom. Then read what it says then.
                |__Z__| or |__N__| ??

I think you need to measure the current draw, I do not see 'Z' in typical SMD fuse such as BOURNE.

I do not have an ammeter, but only the digital tester

SMD Fuse marking is a problem area "N" is often 2 amps and "Z" is sometimes 7Amps (which sounds very high).

so which is better? N fused or Z fuse ? ... (sorry for the ignorance, but I did not have to do with fuses smd)

                          This is ok ?

if I put a fuse "normal" 2 amp 250 V, okay? (for speed and ignoring the size)

If a 2a gets it working then yes that use.

The one in the link is good
