Nec Syncmaster LCD73v 2 second backlight

Hello, i am having trouble with the LCD mention in the title. As it turned out, the one of the 2 upper ccfls was broken (didn't happen in my lab so i am fine, and the place it was placed originaly is a large room with EXCELLENT ventilation so no harm from that -i hope so-).

The problem now is that i don't know what type of ccfls this lcd take, and the only one i can find is this: http://www.ccflwarehouse.com/17ccdulaasfo1.html
These cost 32bucks, but the shipping costs to Greece will be legend-wait for it-dary! The other 3 bulbs are fine, so i only need to replace one (and a second as a spare, you never know).

My question is then, does anybody now the type of ccfl i need (voltage i guess), OR a way to start the inverter with 3 ccfl bulbs? from the 2 seconds the LCD starts, i don't see any brightness problems!

    Thanks a lot

p.s, the bulb that broke is completly black at the two ends (and the place it broke). The one next to it is black at the two ends too, but in a smaller scale. The other two bulbs have a slight tint... is that ok?

the best and easy is to replace like a pair ( 2 lamps one socket ) is a bit hard soldering them, look at my posts in this the same problem like yours with my HP-17 https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...?t=5164&page=4

Mine LCD uses 4 lamps (2 up, 2 down) with 4 different connectors (one for each lamp. The problem is that it requires all 4 of them to be connected in order to work. So either i have to change the 2 down lamps, or put a big resistor at the dead lamps connector and use it that way. Anybody know if it is possible?

You have to have all 4 lamps working otherwise the protection circuits will kick in.
Check LCDPARTS.NET, it will explain to you how to figure out what size the lamp you will need.
