Re: Philips 230WP7NS Professional Series LCD
After 5 years my 230PW7NS monitor stopped working. It started with a synchronization problem, that could be solved by switching the monitor off and on again. But after some time it died completely. Too soon I think, so I would like to fix it, especially since I am (at least was) very happy with the image quality.
Looking around on the internet I was lucky to find this topic, with some interesting information.
I also found another (more extended) version of the service manual:
First I would like to check the PSU board. A visual inspection does not show anything abnormal: no bulging capacitors, no burned resistors, no broken fuse. So I seem to have a different issue compared with the problem the topic starter had.
Next I would like to put power on, and do some measurements. But at this point I am a bit unsure: Is it ok to power on the PSU board stand alone, so without connections to the other boards? Also I would like to know whether the 'Power Saving' signal can be left floating or not.
Hopefully someone has some suggestions for me.
@Scenic: Did you succeed in repairing your monitor?
