can you identify the caps on this mobo?

I found this nice looking board and am seriously considering it for a low cost build that needs to last a long time >5 years:

my only other option is about $40 more:

anyway, just as the title asks can you tell who makes the caps on the two above boards?
    Thanks!

Both of those brands are hit-miss for caps.
    Sometimes great, sometimes not.
HOWEVER, both of those appear to be using Japanese made Solid Polymer caps.
Caps shouldn't be a problem at all.

Foxconn is the actual builder for many Intel boards and some of their boards are actually Intel designs but the Foxconn 'branded' boards tend to get cheaper parts.
[I think it's part of their contract with Intel to do that.]
Most of the Dell GX/SX-260/270/280 [and other Dells] are Intel boards actually built by Foxconn the rest were actually labeled as Foxconn and were the same exact PCB design.

    The Foxconn.
If you use the PCI-E 16x for a video card with a cooler then the PCI-E 1x will probably be blocked leaving you only two PCI slots available.
Only matters is you ever want to use the PCI-E 1x slot.

    The Gigabyte.
Has the PCI-E slots in the reverse and more sensible arrangement so you can use both slots. [But you may loose a PCI slot with a big video cooler.]
    .
The Foxconn shown has Fujitsu but pics of that board at other places show a mix of Fujitsu, Chemicon, and maybe Sanyo and Nichicon. [All still Solid Polymer.]
    .
The Gigabyte shown has Chemicon Solid Polymer but just like Foxconn what is in the picture may not be what you get.
    .
Most all manufacturers will change the caps if supplies run low during a production run.

the gigabyte looks like a better deal. better audio (optical output), dvi, has ide (in case you needed it).

For $40 difference in something you want to keep for 5+ years I have to agree.

Crap, I almost missed that lack of IDE controller. While that's not a show stopper, I'd have to spend another $30 or so for a replacement drive over the one that's currently in the computer (IDE).

          thanks!

If you are going to keep it for 5 years you might wanna start with a new drive anyway.

Even so, I'd rather have the IDE interface available.
Never know when you'll need to temporarily connect an old drive for some reason.

The build isn't for me it's for a client so if it wasn't for the IDE CD rom drive I'd go with the foxconn... I'll have to see what she says. This is turning into a budget buster pretty fast LOL!

anyways, here's the list I have for the build in case anyone is wondering:

If the IDE is only to support an optical drive it'd be cheaper just to get a SATA optical drive.
Even DVD burners can be had for under $25 now.
                Readers are even less.

Your RAM choice is probably okay but I like to stick with RAM that uses the standard voltage. It seems to be less picky about what it will run in.
                I like this one better.

I like IDE for legacy devices but that's because I tinker.
Doesn't sound like that applies to the user you are building for.

I've been tinkering with computers since my mid teens and have loved doing so ever since. so I hear you on that one 100%
