    Help choosing replacement SMD transistor

    Hi there everyone,

Im looking for a replacement transistor for my TV's logic board, unfortunately i had a newbie slip and shorted out the Pwr_On to the 20v rail with the mainboard connected, not very clever at all i know. Here is the damage.

    Transistor Close up

    Original Transistor Datasheet : RT1P141C Marked P1

Main Board Schematic for transistor Reference: Service Manual / Main board Schematic Not the exact same model but im pretty sure they use the same transistors marked P1 which is the RT1P141C.

My other question is could i still be lucky enough that this hasnt damaged anything else ? After the component got burnt i could test continuity on all 3 legs...

I have another thread which i specifically made for diagnosing my power supply on my LG set, i hope creating this thread shouldnt be a problem as its more aimed toward finding a replacement than diagnosing the mainboard. im quite desperate for help sourcing this replacement transistor as i might even have to import it.

I guess choosing a replacement with small differences shouldnt end up being a problem although this also depends on how close to the limits this transistor was being used in the first place ? Please correct me if im wrong.

If anybody has detail into what specifications are utmost important in choosing a replacement transistor id appreciate it. Thank you all !

Re: Help choosing replacement SMD transistor

So ive taken a look at this electronic reference site.

Replacement seems to be the DDTA114ECA-7-F

    Datasheet : Here

Most of the specifications seem to be in check although i cannot compare some specifications as the datasheets are slightly different, could anybody confirm if this would be a suitable replacement ? Thanks !

      Found something even closer

      PDTA114E

My worry is the peak current is only -100ma continous and peak on both replacements, input voltage seems to be -40 on the RT1P141C it seems the PDTA is +40 input ? Seems the DDTA can handle +10 to - 40V though.

That will be fine, the current through that switched Transistor is very very low, and we are dealing with only 3.5V. The 114 has lower Beta, but for this application it should be fine.
