    Troubleshooting tube cameras

I picked up a Panasonic WV-200P "TV Camera" and to my delight within it was a Newvicon tube. In fact, it's the exact same tube I bought as NOS.

My problem is that I'm getting no video output. Even if I cover the lens the image remains on the screen: white with 10% of the left fading to black.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the fault of the tube otherwise I would of seen something happen when I covered the pickup and I'm pretty sure this is not the result of me removing the newvicon and putting it out of alignment.
The rest of the camera consists of two boards and discrete transistor logic.
Did I also mention that tehre are a BILLION capacitors? It outputs to 79 ohm 1Vp-p which I believe is just composite.
    Find Nedry!

    Check the Vending machines!!
