countin machine - bad capacitor

    countin machine - bad capacitor

    recently removed a bad cap, SWC 470uF 50V cap (it was blown).

    Would a capacitor rated at 16V work as fine??? I'm saying this because I can't find a capacitor that's 470uF and 50V.

    The cap is rather small.

    The cap is rather small.
    If your voltage is well below 16V, say 12V or lower, then yes. You can use your multimeter to verify. If you get it wrong, the 16V cap will go POP when voltage is applied.
