    Hp Pavilion Dv7, Start at the Second time.

    Hi Guys

    I need a little help over here,i have a hp pavilion Dv7 3020ed,
    and the problem is that when i hit the start button, it start with a black screen,
    i have to hold the start button in untill it turn off, and start it again, and then it wil start,

    so why it start always at the second time and not at first, any body have a idea what it can be, thanks in advance.

    Try to reset BIOS by removing the battery and check the RAM memory.

      BIOS, RAM or Videocard (reball, reflow, or...)

        I change the RAM, and remove the battery, but still the same.

            change 3v battery with new one then reset bios.........

              On the battery it start 9 from the10 time with no problem, what can be the cause.

                  hi , easy way and best scenario i would start changing dc managers starting battery manager, then kbc if all fail.

                  its painfull but i think you must go long way trial error in there.

                      I change the power`sup from 85w to 90w, both original Hp power sup, but still the same problem, do you guys think it something with the powersup/battery or it can be something else, like on the mobo.

                        I try evrything with no luck, the next step is reballing, the only problem is that i dont have the schematic for this mobo, can any one help me with this schematic, cee picture. thx

                          Hi for my experience this model have problem with ATI CHIP you need to reball it or firs try to update the bios chip with programmer.

                            I think you are right, cuz Caps lock led blink 2, which it means bios, but i did update it, but did't work, the chip cold be the problem.
